It will be better than the world’s best cities,” he said.

Identifying corruption as the biggest hindrance to development, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao promised to make Hyderabad graft free.

Referring to his recent visit to Singapore and Malaysia, he said, “I told a meeting that I will ensure zero graft in Telangana. They did not believe me. Finally they said even if I implement 50 per cent of what I say, the world corporate will rush to Telangana.”

The Chief Minister said another outer ring road would be developed with satellite townships besides clusters like pharma city, sports city, health city and cinema city, adding that a new master plan would be prepared for Hyderabad in tune with ITIR project by roping in global consultants.

Mr Rao was speaking at a function after inaugurating the three-day CREDAI property show at Hitex on Ganesh Chaturthi. Home Minister, Mr Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Excise Minister, Mr T. Padma Rao, CREDAI president, Mr C. Shekar Reddy were among those present.

Referring to poor road conditions, drainage system, water stagnation in front of Raj Bhavan, CM camp office and other places, along with traffic congestion, Mr Rao announced that an east-west road corridor with four lanes would be developed between Vanasthalipuram and Ramachandrapuram along with a similar one between north and south.

Stating that the GHMC Commissioner Mr Somesh Kumar had given him a thorough briefing about the problems the city was facing, he said steps would be taken immediately to restore rain water drains by removing encroachments to end the problem of flooding of roads and residential colonies during monsoon.

“Hyderabad has a huge advantage. People love to live in this city coming from all parts of India and the globe. Former CEC Mr Lyngdoh has settled here. We will have clean and green satellite townships,” he added.
